Hotels by beach? southern cali?

I live in san diego and am not familiar with the LA area so I can't help you find a hotel. However I did want to warn you about something. due to fire codes you sometimes cannot book certain kinds of rooms online for more than 4 people per room but can book them over the phone. Otherwise you have to claim you have fewer people than allowable and try not ot get caught
