Why do parents vaccinate their children?

My parents didn't vaccinate me when I was a child and I turned out just fine. I heard of cases of where children become autistic because of the vaccines. Man, I'm sure glad my parents did the right thing and were out for my best interest. Why do parents vaccinate their children and put their kids in jeopardy?
