Can i keep my Red Eared Sliders outside in the winter and summer?

w/o knowing where you live it's hard to give a really compleat answer, but if you live in in area that freezes you can keep them outside all year just remeber that as in nature they will need a area to hibranate , that is a place they can bury themselves below the frost line. i know some that takes their turtles into their basments and put them in a box filled w/ moist soil,and dry dead leaves, if yuo do this make sure they are ready for it, by stop feeding them for aboout 2 weeks , because any food left in thier systum can kill them.
