I am using internet explorer 7 and I have some chinese characters on the right side of the URL address bar...?

How do I remove these characters. I have deleted all cookies, offline files, history etc, but it makes no difference. The encoding is not set to chinese characters it is unicode utf-8. I cannot use firefox as it is in a corporate environment. Can someone suggest a way to remove it? Thanks
