On Club Penguin I'm stuck on the Mission Clockwork Repairs?

I know how to do everything on that mission, but I'm stuck on one thing. You know when you go to the Dock and there are those 2 penguins there and you have to hit the target 3 times and they'll give it to you? I can only hit 1 target. Does anyone have any tips on how to hit the target 3 times?
